The party was established on 21 October 1988.〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://www.snld.info/shan-nationalities-league-for-democary )〕 ==History== The Shan Nationalities League for Democracy was formed by Khun Htun Oo and formally registered in 1988. The party has been the second winner of 1990 election. The party has attended the congress in 1993 and in 2004 they had delay the invitation. Thus the party leaders were arrested by difference kind of reasons and they were sentences in prison for many years. Moreover the party has been against the constitution in 2008 and it did not participate in the 2010 election. This made them the 4th largest elected party elected to the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw and the 5th largest group overall.
